Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the combatants met personally to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Former twice world boxing king Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami venue on December 19th.
Fighter's Attitude
"I will injure his face and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, said.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will really want to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Interaction
In spite of such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually known for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul instead criticized ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "not serious" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, criticized British opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua commented.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of saying he intends to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he stated.
Jake Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
Still, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, frequently receiving huge earnings.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in round four or five and claimed he would stop the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.
"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.
Size Difference
As the two fighters met for the usual face-off, with their height and weight contrast on show, it highlighted just how improbable this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is really proceeding.
